Why am I Running for the United States Senate?

To Secure the Blessings of Liberty for Ourselves and Our Posterity”

Why I am Running:
Honoring the Oath to Uphold the United States Constitution

I have grown weary of politicians who give lip service to the United States Constitution, drawing near to it with their lips, but their hearts are far from it in daily practice; who unthinkingly raise their arm to the square and take an oath before God and the entire nation as they assume their office, but who then frequently violate that oath as they conduct the business of the nation.

Shameful Deficit Spending
I am ashamed of a profligate national leadership that spends hundreds of billions, even TRILLIONS more each year than it collects (most of which spending is not authorized within the Constitution), ever increasing the national debt ceiling.

Opposition to Abortion
I weep at a national policy which allows the most innocent and helpless of all of God’s children to be slaughtered before they draw a breath of life.

National Abandonment of God
I perceive that this nation, in official practice, is abandoning the God who gave us liberty.

Un-Declared Wars
I sorrow that our leaders have abandoned Constitutional safeguards which were originally established by the founders of this nation to prevent the nation from entering into wars which were not fully debated and deliberated in the congress (and declared by congress).

Usurpation of Un-Granted Power
I am appalled that for decades this nation’s leadership has systematically ignored almost all constitutional limits on its power.

Erosion of National Sovereignty
I am deeply disturbed by the accelerating destruction of our national sovereignty. In matters of our national prerogative regarding war and in matters of our international trade, our leaders rush to turn our national independence over to unelected international bodies staffed by bureaucrats who do not hold our nation in high regard, and certainly do not have our national interests at heart.

Illegal Immigration
I am amazed that our current leadership has arrogantly ignored national laws and completely neglected its Constitutional obligation to protect the States from invasion, as our nation is invaded by millions of illegal aliens.

Two Parties, Same Path

Our two largest political parties differ little, despite cosmetic differences. The national leadership of both the Republican and Democratic parties are committed to building up large, more expensive, and more intrusive government, in violation of the principles established under the United States Constitution.

The cause of liberty is a worthy cause. This nation must be restored and preserved. Americans who love the principles upon which this nation was founded must step forward to help reestablish those foundational concepts. In making this decision to run for the United States Senate, I asked myself: "If not me, then who; if not now, then when?" Duty to my God, to my family, and to my country allowed only one answer.
